Special Benefit demise:
We need your support to remind Government
that it is not too late to repeal the legislation introducing a
rules based temporary assistance programme to replace Special
Benefit for low income workers and social welfare beneficiaries
in need.
Is this an attack on the Labour Party….
NO.
Is this a wake up call to the Labour
Party…. YES

Minister or send an email, which ever you prefer. Make sure that
your centres of influence are referred to this web page so that
they can make up their own mind whether they wish to participate
in this plea to Government.
The Labour Party Government has introduced
legislation that equates to a benefit cut of the worst type for
future beneficiaries and low income wage workers when it is the
claimed responsibility by the Labour Party to protect the poor,
the disadvantaged, the orphans and the widows of this Nation.
In an election year a political party will
only change direction from an abhorrent determination if enough
supporters of the principle that is involved or concerned
supporters of the political Party make their views known
directly to the Party hierarchy. In respect to caring for the
poor and disadvantaged of this Nation the most concerned person
should be our Prime Minister.
In the present political environment it
would be an unwise administration that ignores your power to
vote for your preferred Party if it is Labour in the electorate
seat when you also have the option of voting for any of the
other parties in the list. A list party while possibly being
supportive of your preference if it is the Labour Party will
naturally reduce the numbers available to Labour in Government,
which gives you a power to ensure that Labour does what is right
in order to protect the disadvantaged who have legitimate
needs.
Please send a protest letter to The Prime
Minister and tell your friends to do the same.
